AEW Dynamite May 29 on TBS 0.25 P18-49 rating: TV ratings & attendance analysis

Viewership up slightly, but Dynamite still trails Raw and SmackDown

Viewership for the December 27 episode of AEW Dynamite trended upward to close out 2023. The show drew an average of 937,000 viewers, up from last week's 916,000 viewers. In the key 18-49 demographic, Dynamite scored a 0.25 rating, up from last week's 0.24 rating.

The show's highest-rated segment overall was the beginning of the show which saw Jon Moxley and Wheeler Yuta take on Orange Cassidy and HOOK. The segment drew an average of 1.01 million viewers and a 0.31 rating in the 18-49 demographic.

Following last week's rise in viewership, the October 25 episode of AEW Dynamite suffered a 14% decline. According to Wrestlenomics, this week's Dynamite garnered an average of 937,000 viewers, down from last week's 1.08 million viewers. In the key 18-49 demographic, Dynamite scored a 0.25 rating, down from last week's 0.29 rating.

AEW Dynamite currently trails WWE Raw and SmackDown in the Wednesday night ratings battle. Raw drew an average of 1.92 million viewers and a 0.56 rating in the 18-49 demographic this week, while SmackDown drew an average of 2.33 million viewers and a 0.68 rating in the 18-49 demographic.

Despite the decline in viewership, AEW President Tony Khan remains optimistic about the future of Dynamite. In a recent interview with Sports Illustrated, Khan said that he believes Dynamite can eventually surpass Raw and SmackDown in the ratings.

"I think we can get there," Khan said. "We're just going to keep putting on great shows and building our audience. I think we're going to be a major player in the wrestling industry for a long time to come."
