Zach Arnett Named Mississippi State's 35th Head Football Coach

Proven Leader Takes Helm of Bulldogs Program

Mississippi State University has named Zach Arnett as its 35th head football coach, the school announced today. Arnett, a former Bulldogs player and assistant coach, has been an analyst at the University of Mississippi for the past four seasons.

Experience and Success

Arnett has a proven track record of success both as a player and coach. As a linebacker at Mississippi State from 2006 to 2009, he earned All-SEC honors and helped the Bulldogs to two bowl victories.

After graduating, Arnett began his coaching career as a graduate assistant at Mississippi State. He then spent four seasons as an assistant coach at San Jose State and one season as an assistant coach at Purdue before joining the Ole Miss staff in 2018.

Leadership and Vision

Mississippi State Director of Athletics John Cohen praised Arnett's leadership abilities and vision for the football program.

"Zach Arnett is a proven leader who has a deep understanding of Mississippi State University and our football program," Cohen said. "He has a clear vision for the future of our team, and we are excited to have him lead us into the next chapter."

Arnett expressed his gratitude to Mississippi State and his commitment to building a winning football program.
